Lady In Red

Poem Commentary

I should have posted this last year (2018) when it was written.

Lady In Red

Minding my own

See her across the floor

Painting a story with her every step

Lady in red

Can’t touch her

Another man’s woman

Forbidden connection

I’ll give her my world

On the floor

The only one we can have

Hidden connection

I’ll make her dream come true

Chasing desire

Chasing each other

Touch me with your eye’s

I’ll touch your soul with mine

Forbidden connection

I’ll lead you to another world

One step at a time

Till the song has ended

What have we done

Unseen to the floor

Only felt by our hearts

Through our hands

On the floor

When our hands meet

We come to life

Shared desire

The world doesn’t understand

When we meet

All we have

Is a dance

Honor intact

We part

Back to the reality we left behind

We secretly Dream of

The next time

We step onto the floor

Unseen desire

The length of a song

The depths of our souls

Connected in the purest

In the deepest

For a dance

For a touch

My hand to hers

Her Heart to mine

Stolen glimpse

My eyes to hers

Her Heart to mine

The music has stopped

The floor is closing

One last glance

To each other

We walk away

In opposite directions
