Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem as a reminder of how fast our children grow up. I miss my children being little but am proud of the adults they have become.

Lavished With Love, Hugs and Kisses Galore

Born into the world innocent and pure
Lavished with love, hugs and kisses galore

Sunshine and rainbows, silly songs and patty cakes
Little scrapes and booboos, bicycles and roller skates

Playing in mommy's make up, dancing on daddy's shoes
School days, friendships and growing up too soon

Puppy love with little notes, first dates, heart aches
Driving tests, Prom dress, schools out lets take a break.

Eyes meet,so sweet, true love, swept off her feet.
Wedding gown, all grown now, that little girl is nowhere found.

New days, new babes, this cycle of life goes round and round.

Born into the world innocent and pure
Lavished with love, hugs and kisses galore.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
