    LAYERS OF LIFE

Beyond the realms of social eyes
    here within the secret lies
    undetected by the human hand
growing and speading through life like sand.

    Unconcious reeling
    never revealing
    the real story
    lurking within
    covered by layers
    of the onion skin.

    No one can fly
    with weights on there wings
A tree can't grow in cement
masking your heart with stolen eyes
can never be worth a red cent.

We battle the future we worry with fright
here within are the secrets of life
but the darkness of eden when eve took a bite
lives in the souls of us all.

    Driving and drifting
    never reaching the end
unfolds a story of lovers and friends
troubled by blessing bestoed unto them
by the visions of those who might see
was it wisdom or just prophecy.

    Uncoucious reeling
    never revealing
    the real story
    surking within
    covered by layers
    of the onion skin.

The hidden side of you lives transparent. Why do we think no would understand if they knew.......I love the look in a dogs eyes......no onion skin. Great read. Great poem.

I like the rhyme in this! I also like how it looks on the page. You have some very nice wording and I like the refrain you use. Me likey!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
