    Poem Commentary

    This poem was written while my heart was suffocated by emotions I could not control. The inspiration behind it, was the suicide-murder of my best childhood friend (true story). Although sad, I hope that it helps to shine light into the heart of others as it did mine when I had nowhere else to turn, but to God.

    Lead Me Into the Light


    I beg of you Father to take
    away all this anger and hate.
    I ask you to wipe away tears
    and to make them dissipate.

    I beg of you to allow the sun
    back into my blackened sky.
    I beg of you to help me sleep,
    allow me to breathe, as I lie.

    Grant me with the strength
    and courage to forgive him.
    Shower me in waters of life
    gifting seas that I can swim.

    Don't let the sadness drown
    me in an ocean of darkness.
    Allow me to drift off to sleep
    on the shoals of forgiveness.

    Just reach to me a few things,
    regenerate the life in these eyes.
    Gift me with your path of light,
    let him lead me unto your skies.

    Nice write I hope Jesus came upon you and did as you have asked... I know He did this for me..... Not that a friend killed themselves but so many things happened I was the one ready to die.... I'm thankful He spared me....... red

    I would say the same to my Creator. they are feelings deep from the heart. I love it. a 10 from me.
