    Lessons Learned

As I lay here on my bed
I slowly drift off into a dream like state.
I can hear the tick-tock of my clock
And my t.v is on low.

    A question comes to mind.
Why did the creator put everyone's head facing forward
    instead of backwards?
I tried to imagine all creatures facing backwards,
but it left me feeling very strange.

I thought and thought hmmm.....a easy question
but not such a easy answer.
I am able to glance back for just a short time unlike some creatures who can turn their heads all the way around.
    So why can't I?

In my journey of life, I have come to learn
    I can always look back
but it is very important for me to keep moving forward.
Glancing only to learn from my past.
Never to dwell on what has happen.
Such funny simple questions with a lot of lessons learned.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
