Let Down Again

Poem Commentary

an older one I dredged up, but it feels appropriate today...

Let Down Again

Let Down Again

Another day on this spinning sphere
Another empty heart splashes by
Another flash of lightning knocks me down
It doesn't end, the colors keep mixing
And won't hold still...

You are an ignorant genius
Waiting for life to bowl you over
Waiting for perfection
Ceaselessly pacing...

But you're alone in your cage
And you've passed it many times by now.

I no longer wait on perfection..... I never will be..... I use to wait on perfection of me..... I'm glad I found that in Jesus.... He was, He is, and He will always be perfect...... I use to let it all pass me by..., now I just try to take it in...... red

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
