  • I love the rain! I hate the pain, I only wish to see you again. So keep in touch cause it means so much.

Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem a few years ago, and I was very depressed, sometimes when I feel at my lowest, I look at it again and I am reminded of how low our spirits can really sink.

Let it End

I long for eternal rest,
for I have failed
at all lifes tests,
my life is a wreck, you see
I only hurt everyone around me.
Sleep no longer comes at night,
cause nothing that I do is right.
I no longer eat in the day,
my feelings of guilt get in the way.
I really do love this life, you see,
but life does not care for me.
All that I had is truly lost,
my broken heart must pay the cost.
This burden is only mine to bear,
not for the ones for whom I care.
For they are all innocent, you see,
the only evil one here is me.
Make no one else have to pay,
just take this breath of mine away,
and end my broken life today.

Hello Dustydal. I know how depressing our failures can be , I have also gone to that extreme in my life at one time or another and have written my feelings down on paper only to shock myself later on when my life was going great! it is said that true poets write down theire feelings and true emotions only at our lowest and at our hughest points in our life's! Glad to see that you got over the times of feeling the gloome! good luck to you my friend and may God be with you always! laqbangirl

Woah, this has a suicidal ring to it. If you really feel like this, I suggest you get some help. Also, you may identify with one of mine called "It's Enough". Thanks for sharing.
