    Let Me Be Me

    Let me be me
    By: Dwion E. Johnson

    Hear me for me
Only because I can only be me
I am the only one you will see you look at me
Why because I been me forever you see
When I speak I will put on a show for you to see
But only in the way that I see
Here again I am not you but me
So when you speak to me
It must be something interesting to me
If you seek an answer from me that how it must be
That not how I wanted to be
    That how it must be
    Why because I am me
    You are not me
    So let me be me

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
