Letting Go

Letting Go

Can't you feel the emptiness inside

The barren place I try so frantically to hide

This is not at all what I expected

Not so long ago we felt totally connected

It seems as though you have severed those ties

Moving on, not even bothering with good-byes

I know that this is all my fault

I made the choice, not giving it a second thought

Things turned out the way they should have

We were not destined to walk the same path

There is no use dwelling on the past

Because what we had was never meant to last

Sometimes we are better off by letting go... very well written. Good job!

A good outlook in what many become bitter over, or always bleeding over. I enjoyed the casual flow of emotions!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
