    LETTING YOU IN

    I FEEL LIKE BOTH
    JUDAS AND JOAN OF ARCH
LIKE THE BETRAYER AND THE BETRAYED
    LIKE I'M MOVING TO
    MY EXECUTION AND SALVATION
    ALL AT THE SAME TIME
COMING TO YOU FOR MY LAST WORDS
    AND THEN MY HANGING
DID I REALLY COMMIT A SIN?
WHAT DID I DO SO WRONG?
    WHAT DID I DO?
BUT LET YOU INTO MY WORLD
LET YOU BORROW INTO MY TUNNEL?
    WHAT CRAZY THING I DID
    WHEN I LET YOU IN?
    REALLY?
WASN'T LETTING YOU IN THE BIGGER SIN?

20 20 hindsight... It's the contradiction that plagues us all. Good work!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
