Like Child's Chalk on the Sidewalk

Dare not look ahead, It overwhelms me
As the pretty picture I painted fades away,
Like child's chalk on the sidewalk

Nothing remains, Just the dreams and pain
    Good times never remain
Like child's chalk on the sidewalk

    I can not stay
It makes me too sad to play
We are like child's chalk on the sidewalk

We are good when there's sun
When it rains, we are washed away
Like child's chalk on the sidewalk

i find this poem fasinating. i like the repetitive use of the line, "like child's chalk on the sidewalk" it gave the poem a nice, attached feeling in the end. very simple but full of meaning. i enjoyed this. thanks~
