Lily White Queen

Lily White Queen

She sits and ponders,
About tomorrow.
About the Father.
And the snow begins to fall.

Yet shiver she does not.
She merely lifts her head.
Are you here or are you not?
She asks as her tears begin to fall.

Icicles form,
Upon her eyelashes.
But for her tis the norm.
A snow white queen.

A voice, she hears.
Far and distant,
But takes away her fears.
"I'm here my love."

A warmth enters the atmosphere.
"I'm here my queen"
The voice comes very near.
To the snow white queen.

This white forest,
It isn't pure.
It holds you captive.
You can't ignore

I'm here to make you beautiful,
To make you my Lily White Queen.

I like this poem. It has a sense of mysterious to it. i don't know why the white queen reminds me of the one from the lion the witch and the wardrobe

This is just so well scripted. Different formats, style, free style and just stand out to be different as these words did.......... well done.... red

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
