    Lindsay

    Her name was Lindsay.
    I'll never forget her face.
    She shined her light,
    And filled me with faith.

    I was in the dark,
    Feeling alone and empty.
But just one smile on her face,
Made a believer out of me.

    Where are you Lindsay,
    Sweet love of mine?
    Came out of the shadows,
    With her lovin, so kind.
    Eyes full of love.
    Smile full of cheer.
    Hope I see you again,
    'round this time, next year.

Don't know where you came from.
    Don't really care.
Just as long as I see you again,
    Sometime next year.
    The beauty of hers,
    So kind and so free.
    Please, dear God,
Please lead her back to me.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
