    LIstening

The sound of the waves as they come rushing in
is a sound of perpetual motion
balanced against the cry of the Gulls
as they look for their food by the ocean.

Blessed is the man who can sit by the sea
hearing the sounds made by nature.
Knowing that all is correct in the world
    everything there for his nurture.

Nice poem, perhaps; we are here at nature's discretion. Olan

I too find my place on the shore. I feel all there is when sitting there. Nice piece.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
