    • I once knew everything, and now I know nothing.

    Little Girl Lost

Little girl lost, where did you go?
Have you gone to the city to score some blow?
Are you lost there among the prophets and whores?
Are you hanging around waiting to score?

Little girl lost, where have you been?
Did you find what you wanted there with those men?
Do you wonder why they never stay through the night?
Or are you using sex, as a weapon tonight?

Little girl lost, where have you gone?
Do you remember a heart that once beat strong?
Did you leave it there to die in the gutter?
Left to beat out in one shaky flutter?

Little girl lost, please come home soon.
I miss you like the sun misses the moon.
Without you I'm lost in this city alone.
Without you I have no place to call home.

Powerful.....raw....emotional.... pleading. Maybe a life experience...maybe not. But strong enough to want to make people reach out and help

Amazing write Nini, I can certainly see why you directed me here, Great minds do think alike and we are two great minds If I do say so myself! Haha. It's funny, but this could be the prostitute charachter in my poem, pretty cool. Great mind or kindered spirits? You decide, Tonight at eleven! -Spence, Off to read Pot Cookies......

Wow....just wow. So raw and emotional. Beautiful job. I can only hope that this was not written out of experience.

Nice piece!! There are so many that are lost in some way, that it's becoming common. 10 from me

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
