    Little Girl

In a corner is a little girl,
    crouched down.

    The little girl about five.

    Little girl scared to death,
by a father that abandoned the little girl as a baby.

    Now he is back,
    scaring the little girl.

Little girl bruises abd cuts all over.
So petrified for her father that hurts her.

The cops came to talk her away to a new place.

Little girl grows up in a new home,
with a new mom and dad that loves her so.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
