     Time stops
    as lollypops
    redirect my thoughts
    Hairspray
    blocks the airwaves
    confusing yuppie robots
    Wallpaper
    of sky scrapers
    lit up with kilowatts
    Trapped in heart
    of the city,
    traffic jams are like blood clots
    Exit signs
    and land mines
    drawn with sidewalk chalk
    No answers yet
    why the sidewalk's wet
    all the way down the block
    Men are in shock
    when housewives shop-
    got to do something to stay on top!
    Teenagers bop
    and junkies cop
    cities grow and just don't stop

    a good depiction of the concrete jungles of the world many get lost in...nice job. I haven't been much on original poetry lately; been away for awhile. I enjoy reading new poets. nice job

    Nice metaphors throughout the entire piece....it made me smile thinking of the visuals that came into my head....love the line...."Hairspray blocks the airwaves confusing yuppie robots"...this was a nice playful write and enjoyable to read....Cher
