Lone

If nobody loves you, do you exist
Are you suspended, in a vacant abyss.

If it,s only you, in a crowd
Is your dispair ringing out  loud.

Alone on a beach, with sand all around
Face coated with tears, you drop to the ground.

Spirit dies slowly, no physical pain
All your love, it will drain.

The void grows every day
To fill it up, you must pray.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
