Loneliness

Loneliness

A state of mind?

A state of being?

A state of alienating?

Can one person allow themselves loneliness

Or is it a collaborative effort

With the rest of humanity?

This poem has a lot to answer to. I think with answrs of questions written would make this poem more interesting. You have a great start on the writings. Good questions. Loneliness has many meanings and your questions that causes the reader to stop and think. I enjoyed and liked the picture as it went very well with the poem. Annamae

Ah, but are we truly the one to make the choice to be alone? Or are we only alone because others have granted us the solitude we sought? For if they chose to disrupt it we would never be alone. So the message: Is it really OUR choice? Or as much our choice to be alone as theirs to leave us be? I may have tried for something too profound for such a short work, but it was definitely fun and interesting to debate and then write. Hope this convoluted message makes some kind of sense, lol! And thanks again for the read!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, I tried to keep it short and to the point, but it still threw me off a bit when I first thought of it this way! Lol! Thanks again for the read!

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
