     Long ago
    While searching
    For peace
    Didn’t know
    Where to go

     Looking for something
    To fill that empty space
    Any time anywhere
    Just any place

     Looking for good
    Trying to find honor
    Wondering why
    I’m always misunderstood

     Need to know
    How to get there
    On my knees wondering
    If he really answers prayer

     How do I pray
    Where do I start
    Someone said just
    Open your heart

     Not knowing
    If things will ever
    Start flowing
    I keep on going

     Knowing I must get there
    Oh look I
    Have made it
    He does answer prayer
