    Lost in the Dark

     World closing in,
    Gasping for breath...
    All my hopes
    Stomped to death...
    What once was a promise,
    Now just a dream,
    Actually a nightmare,
    That's how it seems...
    Darkness surrounds me,
    But still, I fight,
    Open my heart,
    Search for the light...
    A minpoint in the distance
    Renews my belief,
    That in the near future,
    I'll find relief.
    I close my eyes,
    And surrounded by light,
    I ask the universe,
    To help in my plight.
    I open my sould,
    To love, and peace,
    And feel my energy,
    Greatly increase.
    Back on track,
    I say a short prayer,
    Thanking the powers,
    Which are always there.

    Beautifully written, I am glad you found a light at the end of the tunnel....I loved the flow of this poem too, reminded me of how I write! Thanks for sharing this....
