Lost Love take one

Poem Commentary

This scene is drawn from memory and is not currently occuring in the authors life, please do not misunderstand, it is only an attempt to explore lost love and how the human race might choose to experience it. I had to put some limitations in it due to trying to keep it from becoming too lengthy but I think most of you get the scene.

Lost Love take one

Lost Love

A wrenching ache that rises from feet to mind
Wider than your arms outstretched
Staggering loss of mass proportion
Everything narrows and all is confined
Kneeling in the dark, wrenching on the floor
Fists pounding the inner halls
Sweet succulent agony of despair
Carving inward deeper still symbols hollows within human walls
Dragging dregs mocking taunts that frighten the sane
Unbidden from a hidden place inside old issues erupt
Making chained prisoners of misbelief

Trapped, hungry, blind, wanting, needing, crying, screaming, weak, vulnerable, stolen, throbbing, depress, agony, sick, isolate, dark, lonely, gone, missing, wounds, pain, woe is me - I am lost, lost, lost, addictive monster from inside, chewing on my soul, invisible, not good enough, outright miserable, without, none for you, life blood draining, voices shouting, more, more, more, slimed, now give over your life, here take this razor, slash the wrists, pop those pills, drink that booze, head to the bridge jump in the river, anything but this

Where is it
Behind the door
Under the bed
Next door
Around the block
In town, out of town
Across state
Other side of the world
Everywhere but here, inside
I gotta get it, love, any kind of love
Bad love, stale love, dead love, fake love, crush love

Like a lost key
Somewhere
Outside
Over-there

Hey you, it was you, took my love and left me bleeding
Fallen on my knees without relief
Collapsing from the love you took
Dying inside, crippled in vision
The bank is robbed, stolen soul force of my life

The pains rise
The more I get to thinking
Gone, where did it go
The more I think the farther it goes
Grasping, dying, misery, gosh awful hell
Shrinking back, withering, full-bloodied loneliness
My last breath, the thunderous skies judging my cries as the world caves in

Forgotten.....

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
