    oh to be young and dumb and full of c again

    Lost (written when I was quite young)

          “Lost”

     

                                 Here I am again

                                          Lost

                                 Howling in the moon

                                 passing day into night

                                 with he who is lost

                                 craving both for yesterday

                                          which is lost

                      

                                 Dreaming in the moon

                                 feeling no love

                                 but for one who is running

     

                                 Realizations scare us

                                 we, the lost age

                                 Written off lightly

                                 on the back pages

                                 of lost tales

     

                                 Winding in the dirt

                                          Lost

                                

                                 Finding for small hope

                                          Losing

     

                                 Singing dead thoughts

    which are winging towards oblivion        

     

                                 Dream for me dark one

                                 the night of light

                                

                                 Remember me

                                          Lost One

                                 Here in my little cell

                                 howling at the keeper

                                          For-----We are LOST!

    "Here in my little cell, howling at the keeper" To me God is the keeper & life is the cell, I think everyone goes through a period when they resent their creator. "We the lost age." They created us just to write us off. I don't know if that's what it meant to you but I did really enjoy it!

    I was referring to society and his racism, its hypocrisy and its total belief that we are always right and everyone who disagrees has to be wrong. they didn't treat hippies very well in those days
