Love as you wouldn't think of it

Love as you wouldn't think of it

Death breathes a cold breath down my spine.
Broken, lifeless I lay on the cool ground of nothingness.
I can see the glimmer of Hope's beautiful face far away in the distance of my sleeping mind.
Why can't Death just take me now?
He only lingers close to me, his ghostly figure invisible. His cruel fingers trace my face over and over.
Curse my persistance to keep living.
Every breath I take seems a torture to my twisted and sucicidal mind.
Love lives on my broken heart, a small ember flaring into flame when I sense the presence of one person.
The only person who rekindles my will to live.
And so I lie, on the verge of Death, thinking of only one small thing, one person.

Thats a little dark dude, is that recent? Please tell me you dont actually think tha way lol (?) but it isa good poem yo!!!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
