    Poem Commentary

you say you love me because you're used to having us together. inspired partly by the 183 Club song "Affective Line"

    Love Line

    As dusk turns to dawn
    and the sun sets again
    the line connecting us
    is stretched a little further

the world is spinning so fast
    time is flying past
    our lives keep going on
but our feelings can't catch up.

we are stuck in the beginning
    living off our memories
    ignoring the fact
    that everything has changed.

    the rope is wearing thin
but until the last thread breaks
    we are still forced together
pretending the future is the past.

I like this. Very well written. I like the ending to this poem. :)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
