    Poem Commentary

    The theme of the poem is around a woman's inner feelings seeking honest love but compromised with the passion instead of true love. Even if she wants to live as a saint, she feel that even sainthood does not guarantee any love because senses always haunt her. So, she is understood that has surrendered her strength in the weakness of hypnosis.

    LOVE TASTIER THAN A KISS

    Love tastier than a Kiss

     

    The heart is not touched with the
    Touch skinned by physical touch
    So, where is the fragrance of soul
    Which I always desire to store in bowl
    May be my lips could have been
    Deceived by the morphine of dribble;

    The soul is not just enjoyed with
    The love expressed by mental feelings
    So, where is the rhythm of the heart
    Which I always crave to rhyme with life
    May be my mind could have been just
    Deceived by the magic of poetic verses;

    The love is not simply fulfilled with the
    Pleasure of living apart from sainthood
    So, where is the truth in senses of body
    Which I always want to conceive a memory
    May be my strength could have been
    Deceived by the weakness of hypnosis;
