    Love uncovered

    Love lies behind unspoken things,
creeping gently, a welling up of feelings,
brought on by your kindness and sweet,
    gentle way,
Oh baby, don't go, please, won't you stay.
Love lies behind thoughts of friendship
    forsaken,
but not lost, a new risk being taken,
entering into the unknown, hoping for
    the best.
Could this new found awareness pass
    times' greatest test?
    Distance stands between the reality
    and theory of,
you and me making it work,
    this thing called LOVE.

    ESSENCEOFLOVE commented on Love uncovered

This poem conveys very well the feelings you feel when you have come upon a new love. Well done!.......E

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
