Love You Enough

I don’t know how it happened
it caught me so off guard
but maybe that explains 
why it has hit me so damn hard.

Your words told a tale
of hurt and pain
And of the uncertainty
of ever loving again.

but also of someone who could
express himself in such a way
as to paint a picture in my mind
with every word he'd say

Each day I read
I was more and more intrigued
and with each blissful word
this unbelievable man appeared

then suddenly one day I read his words
and it truly hurt me to my heart
it was as if this man was real to me
and so I reached out unsure where to start

it started out as friendship 
but grew into something more
I wanted to be there in every way
I hoped and prayed he would open the door


But now I see that this love I have
will probably never be
for try as I might to win his favor
 I will never be….. she

The love of another still claims his soul
and torments his mind
the ghost of her and days gone by
it’s her who still holds favor in his eyes.

So ill give him time, give him space
if that’s what his heart craves
Time to heal to get past this hurdle
but know it’s your Love I hope to win

I understand I swear I do,
for I have been where you are now
Some days were good and others real bad
with only memories to see me through

But no matter what happens win or loose
I’m here no matter who or what you choose

So I’m stepping back to let you breath
let you find you and be whole again. 

For when it’s all said and done
I love you Enough 
And just want to see you happy again .......
