    Lucifer's Bond

What if by some strange chance as you became older voices and whisperings frightening your every night. Worried for your life.

What if as your childish mind matured an awareness became obvious that all these mutterings so often heard belonged to angels in our world.

What if this new found insight a marvelous accursed gift allowed you to realize that sometimes a harshness heard ever so faint came from angels considered used to be. Now among the fallen.

What if natural hormonal changes strenghten all these sences, chiefly among them the effect on my vision center was most pleasing.

What if that first glimpse shattered all those terms and definitions of glamerous beauty and threw them out the nearest window.

What if on a certain day those that, used to be, showed themseleves in the most horrific manner, yet a beauty dark and mysterious still remained.

What if among them you began to notice an individual that seemed to command, dread and loathing froze me when I heard his name. The coming of the bane of man,
    .

What if among recent angelic mutterings, rumors surfaced that Lucifer
had called for a meeting. He got comfortable to wait on Gabriel to arrive.

What if that ol' devil had come up with an ingenious plan to ensure his minions and followers somewhere they could land.

What if when these Arc-Angels began their proposal the whole of Heaven turned their attention toward Lucifer waiting to begin his discussion.

What if as Gabriel explained Heavens position the evening shadows started to receed, seems that the Lord wanted to help his first-born resolve his bond of servitude and give the lost a home they really need.

What if Lucifer began by changing his name to one the Jews laid upon him Satan will I be for the rest of time, He agreed to semi-confinement on the world above and below forced into an early retirement.

What if the Lord conceeded to allow Satan to return to Heaven only when summoned and have dominion over his new home, agreeing to limit the number of souls Hell could hold.

What if the Lord set the conditions for the wicked to have the ability to be forgiven and return to the Halls of Gold. One strict condition was proposed Satan must enforce the regulations as imposed and shall have his freedom with the release of hells final soul.

What if after all the reperations were agreed upon and the gates of Hell closed did Gabriel asked the Lord, master can we trust our brother to abide by these stipulations and be ablle to keep control.

What if God looked on Gabriel and simply replyed Satans bound to me as I am to him. Our sons shall cause changes to be made one with the lose of his life, the other using vengance and world wide strife..............

That took an awful lot of thought, I dig that...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
