Temptation tries to pull my body away

Make me a traitor to the way I feel

Doubt and foolish notions try and tempt me to give up

Deep thoughts asking me

Past the passion

I care for this woman

What I feel for her is honest

I couldn’t bear the notion of betraying her

She is beautiful

She is worth holding on to

But those had no connection
