    Meeting in the club

I see you looking at me

    In the mirror

    I smile, you smile

    Eyes locked, I break away

    I want to impress you

I take you by the hand

    We dance

    Your impressed

    We had fun

    Looking back on the night

A great sadness falls over me

    Like all the others

You know not a thing about me

You’re not impressed by who I am

    You only know the dancer

The dancer is who makes you smile

Is that all I’ll ever be

    The Dancer

The only thing women want of me

    Are my steps

Where will my Heart be enough

    Dare I hope

    Or Dream

    Of you being different

From all that I’ve ever known

    On that damn dance floor

    I want you to know

There’s more to me than just the Dancer

    Love

    Faith

    Hope

    Romance

    And Honor

With a lot of tears, hurt and pain in between

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
