    Memories

    Remembering
    a memory
    when you found
    the joy in me
    you said I changed
    for happiness was near
    you said that now
    no fear was here
    a friend I am
    a friend I'll be
    when remembering
    that memory

    Remembering
    a memory
    of that first kiss
    you shared with me
    so bittersweet
    though nothing felt wrong
    but now our friendship
    had grown with love, strong
    A love I am
    A love I'll be
    when remembering
    that memory

    Remembering
    a memory
    the tears we shed
    what could it be?
    we tried to stop
    when we began to start
    but what we didn't realize
    it tore us apart
    sad I am
    and sad I'll be
    when remembering
    that memory

    Remembering
    a memory
    that sweet embrace
    you gave to me
    we had changed
    own love had grown
    we had built it up
    on a place of stone
    Joyful I am
    Joyful I'll be
    when remembering
    that memory

    I look at the past
    I smile, I cry
    I look to the present
    with that blue, blue sky
    with your arms around me
    I know that I soar
    I fly and I love
for you have opened a door
    In love we are
    In love we'll be
    when we remember
    this present memory

I like this a lot. Also you used your hook very well. Then you gave it an end. What's inteeresting here is that you highlighted how we use the subconsciousness.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
