     It's been so long, since I last saw your face..
    My memory has faded, no new ones to replace.

    The look in your eyes, when we last said goodbye,
    Is so hard to forget so I break down and cry.


    Your tender smile and the wave of your hand...


    Looking back now, I still can't understand!


    Where did it all go so wrong?
    How do I pick up and move on?!


    Nothing seems right without you here in my life.


    My Heart is empty and my soul is shattered.

    The memories I have are all beaten and battered.

    So many times they've crossed my mind, Each one taking me back to that one moment in time.


    When you last looked at me and smiled so sweet...


    In my dreams now is the only place we meet.

    Grief (for a former relationship) and regret are strong influences, and rarely for the better. I like your technique here (the way it looks to me, anyway). It seems to be a melancholy accounting of the way things were versus the way they are, and while there's sadness. Very well done!

    oddly i can very much relate to this when my ex and i broke up. except i didnt look at him when we broke up because it was in anger, and it was one of those "fine" contests to see who had the last word. and i was walking away because i didnt want to let him see how hurt i really was. looking back now i cant understand how it went like it did. but i'll give ya this, it does get better and you will find someone who will pick up the shattered pieces of your life and soul and put them back together. just hang in there!
