    • SPRING BREAK IS OVER NOW SO I WON'T BE ON AS MUCH

    Poem Commentary

Some silly little two minute poem. Enjoy.

    Metronome

    Metronome on my desk
Takes a beating, makes a mess
    I can’t hear it’s beating anymore
Its springs and pieces are on my floor

Springs and pieces on my floor
Are now blocking my only door
Kicked and shoved out of the way
I’ll clean them up some other day

    Some other day
    I’d rather play
So on the floor, they stay

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
