Michael Jackson is Dead

Michael Jackson is Dead

that star blazed across they sky
shining so bright

but it fell to earth long ago
and we were disenchanted

it was, after all, a dark star
twisted by a despicable desire

innuendo...rumors flew
but we never knew

were they true?

the king of pop is dead
and the question in my head

is why now so many mourn
a man who earned such scorn

as though he never fell
from stardom

if possible read my poem " Life after Death". to all those who have come and gone, death is imminant yet we still marvel at it's existence, this was from the start of creation. great write though

Very well written. Short but straight to the point. I know exactly what you are saying.... Now that Michael is gone, we will probably get answers to a whole lot of unanswered questions. There will be plenty of unauthorized publications and various people that will speak up and/or speak out. There will probably be a hit movie, etc... Terrell is right, it is for God to judge. We lost one of the world's greatest artist/entertainers. My prayer is that he has found peace with God through all of his life encounters. There will never be another Michael Jackson. RIP MJ 2009

I see where your coming from with this. But let us put aside the unproven for a second and focus on what is concrete. This man did more for urban music than anyone and sold 50 million domestic of 1 album; his reach was unmeasurable. HIs charity works numerous and not only was he my 2nd fav artist every other popular crossover artist today needs to thank there stars that God allowed him to be here this long. Now, I was dissapointed in him, his alleged actions dispicable and if true only God can judge him now. I just feel that ,for myself, he was more than the king of pop, he was the king, Elvis ever sold 50 million of one album? Great piece.

Trusting in God, I believe that he is just another person however in the past he was a good singer to me.His future came back to haunt him, he is a memory in the books like biggie, pac, elvis, aliyah, lisa left eye lopez, etc all had false in them that should be forgiven, one from him that I consider hard to forgive yet I must move on. Great description of the pop legend, great ending as well.

thankfully judging him is not my job...I am much too uninformed to have an opinion one way or the other...I just see the irony.

I see what you are saying thanks I enjoyed the poem

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
