I can remember when
Enough was enough
I truly felt it was time
To give it all up

 Always weary from
Having to walk a mile
Finding it very difficult
By now to even smile

 Always in a state
Of constant confusion
The direct cause of
All my wayward illusions

 But standing the test of time
Were my enormous dreams
The only thing that made
My life any better it seems

 Walking around with scars
Inside and out so unreal
Mired in the mud hardly
Able to walk life had no appeal

 What kept me going
Were the dreams I had
The only thing I had left
That was close to being iron clad

 Woke up one morning
Determined to never give up again
And to certainly
Never ever to give in

 I certainly want to
Thank god
For the first time I could
Actually hang on to a job

 The rest of the story
Is my own personal miracle
And trust me when I say
It was completely spiritual
