    Mirror Skinned

    Smell dust from the skin,
    before it shatters.
Flesh burns a whole in imitation.
    Now melt the hand.
    Acid cascades from vision,
pouring down, it sets flame to shadows,
    destroying reflections.
Glass melts into the skin again.

    great poem

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
