Mislead

Poem Commentary

Something I've often hated about most churches.. especially the ones in my area.. They talk about helping others, but this is how they usually turn out.

Mislead

He sees a church, and then goes in

not knowing what they do.

They look him down, they see his sin;

they stare as they boo.

They think they're strong, they are weak.

The man starts to cry

It was God, he was trying to seek

the church just let him die.

His soul was pure, his heart was weak

but the church wanted his soul.

His eyes so mild, his voice so meek.

He falls and starts to roll.

His heart has stopped, the people stare

he then whispers “seven.”

It was the church, that didn't care

but he still went up to heaven.

The churches fall, they go to hell

the people feel so lost

you watched him die, when he fell

and now you will pay the cost.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
