    Poem Commentary

    this is a short story of surviving addiction beyond all odds

    MISTER
    i use to smoke and drink too much
    and crystal meth became a lonely crutch
    many thought a life lived as such
    could never be a permanent fixture

    i never found my fortune and fame
    and even god forgot my name
    and most everyone called me insane
    but the devil always called me mister

    Love it! It's got attitude. Spunky, unapologetic. I'm still marveling at how it makes me feel sad but brings a smile to my lips.
