Misunderstood

When I put the blade to my skin,
There's a hesitation,
There's a tingle
Arching across me,
The blade stings and hurts
But afterwards there is no pain

There may be an itch,
But I tell it to go die in ditch,
Because no one understands,
I'm always misunderstood,
They tell me it will go away in a while

It's been five years,
I don't think so, my dears,
It's probably staying,
Like the depression,
In which I've had no succession
In overcoming
