    Mom

     Mom-
    Why do I have to be sick?
    I’m so tired of feeling blue?
    I try and control it,
    but it takes control of me.

    Mom-
    Why do I do the things I do?
    So out of character
    like a stage hen trying to peek
    They’re way to the top of what?

    Mom-
    Why do I love too much?
    Is there really such a thing?
    Could it be I was raised that way,
    or could it be I was burned
    way to many times in the past.

    Mom-
    Why do thoughts of a new land
    tend to scare fear into everyone?
    The circle of life to light
    is the human process for
    everything living that must die.

    This write serves to remind me that perhaps life is as pure and as meaningful as your next breath...And in just that simple way of being, there is never the folly of our preoccupation with our past which is just second hand thought and the desires and ambitions we slave ourselves to with hope to the future....All that is real is our next breath, and we must die in each moment in order to live in the next... I am endeared to you that I have to trip over your poem to understand myself once more...I am much obliged mam

    I too turn to my mom for the answers...life journey to the end is sometimes joyous and sometimes terrifying
