Poem Commentary

This was a poem that was wrote to me and my family for the lost of our son. written by Mona G. Lee

mommy and daddy mouton

I was born real early and way too small
Although,I didnt mind it,no not at all.
It enabled me to get loads of love, which my mom didnt give
but god sent me a new mom, who taught me i had a life to live.
The first time i looked into her eyes so true,my eyes sent back a look, that said "I aleady love you,too
For months she helped me deal with doctors and hospitals most people thought she was doing it for naught,
but she helped me fight for the beautiful life that i sought.
She taught me how to eat when others said i wouldn't and taught me how to breath when others said i couldnt.
I went home from the hospital on monday to be exact and there was my family so wonderfully intact.
I was finally there with love from my parents, brothers, sisters,
All of my family, they were so willing to share and i knew for me they would always be there.
I couldn't belive just how my life was turning out to be.
Three weeks of love,oh my god it was the best.
but then god called down "little one,now its time to rest"
no one will understand why he saw fit to do it this day, but rest assure he saw no other way.
Before i go,there are some things that you need to know
one of those things is how much i loved you all so.
Although,i couldnt speaki hope i expressed the excitement and love exploding in my chest.
I thank you for showing the true meaning of family and for including in yours,Me
you didnt have to do it,you could have walked away
but oh how happy i am that ya'll chose to stay
Remember i live forever in your hearts
and from there i will never part.
This isnt good bye its just till then
for we will see each other in the end.
Today i am dancing with angels,
Healthy as i should have been all along
but i need for you all to be strong.
I know its hard but know that i am finally at reat, but just had to say mommy Fallon and Daddy Sherman you were the best.
I may not have legally died a mouton, but i am pure mouton at heart and that is something that even in death will never depart.

I have tears in my eyes. U are wonderful and the way U spoke from within.

thank you

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
