Mommy By Day, Lonely By Night

Mommy By Day, Lonely By Night

Mommy by day lonely by night

Wondering if a life of romance is near in her sight

Softball games and school activities

Does anyone notice her does anyone see

She’s more than a mommy she’s a woman with dreams

Another day in, another day out, turn out the light

Mommy by day lonely by night

Her baby is her life she would never let go

but she worries what she will do once she leaves home

Her life is revolved around her no time to date

The years pass by she wonders if it will be too late

Sometimes she feels she’s no longer a woman, just a mom

No one has made her feel sexy in so long

Longing to feel loved after the baby is in bed

The dreams of being held dance around in her head

Mommy by day lonely by night

Wondering if a life of romance is near in her sight

Softball games and school activities

Does anyone notice her does anyone see

She’s more than a mommy she’s a woman with dreams

Another day in, another day out, turn out the light

Mommy by day lonely by night

After awhile the lonely nights get easier to get through

As she looks in the mirror she no longer sees the woman she once knew

Just a mom is all they look at anymore

Never the loving woman that was once adored

She worries she will grow old alone

Once the baby is all grown

Will she ever feel like a sexy woman again

Or will it be lonely nights until the very end

Mommy by day lonely by night

Wondering if a life of romance is near in her sight

Softball games and school activities

Does anyone notice her does anyone see

She’s more than a mommy she’s a woman with dreams

Another day in, another day out, turn out the light

Mommy by day lonely by night

great poem, it seems there are many women out there that feel this way. nicely expressed

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
