Poem Commentary

Relationships are like plants, what can not grow will die.

Monday-Friday Girl

I'm your Monday-Friday girl
Two nights a week, not a care in the world
First we hook up in the sack
Then you drive your new Mercedes back

Talking to me all the while on the phone
I'm your guiding angel until you get home
until next time, LOVE, from your Monday-Friday girl

On the weekends you forget I'm alive
That I'm all alone, somehow I survive
You're doing your thing, to hell with me
I'm just your girl-toy two nights of the week

I've had it up to here
I never should have agreed, I'd never want to be
Anyone's Monday-Friday girl

I've had it up to here
I just could not foresee
How much this would hurt me
Being your Monday-Friday girl

You've locked me in your part-time world
I don't want to be anyone's part-time girl
You get yours, and you got me
You got me where you want me to be

I tried to please you, I did all I can
I didn't want to lose you
But I need a full-time man

I need love more than those 2 days
I just can't accept your "Player" ways
I never would have agreed, cause I wouldn't want to be
Just your Monday-Friday girl

You thought you owned me, If you only knew
I met a good man to replace you
Found someone to love who's a better man than you
No more Monday-Friday girl
We love all the week through

POWERFULL! True of so many midnight romances. Brought a tear to my eye and then the wonderful ending. I can smile again. very well done.

Thank You for for "Feeling" Monday-Friday Girl. I need a tunesmith or musician to feel it into a Song with me. Do you know anyone? Rone'

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
