    Monsters and Maybes

    Discription is a subtle way
    to write my bitterness away
To share what you have no doubt known
Cause I have mine, you have your own

I'm not unlike a dog with rabies
My monsters roar but fear my maybes
I'm learning as my angels flee
I've chased away those close to me

As time winds down and crossroads cross
A dim light finds me all but lost
I've too much strength to fall apart
Yet little left to call a heart

While searching for the reasons why
My father died and I couldn't cry
I'll wait until the very day these
Monsters come and kill my maybes
