    • Very excited and very grateful. My son Michael will be coming back to American soil in about 12 days I want to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes and strength.

    Poem Commentary

I recently spent some time in the Gulf of Mexico and had a reunion with the sea. As a child my roots are beach grass and drift wood in NY. It all seemed to come back... just a note: Beebop was my Grandfather and Sam, my first dog... both passed within weeks of each other in the month of Sept 1962.

    Moonlight on the Gulf

And there was the moon glow
Sweetly kissing the surface of the sea,
    Softly skimming the waves,
Painting a path to my feet.
    I wiggled my toes,
    Basking in the glow light
The moon had sent to me.

    The sky seemed endless
    As it meets the ocean.
    A far off union
    Of real and imagination,
    As the ship continues
To make its way across the Gulf.

The sound and scent of the sea
    Always take me back
    To Beebop
    And
    Sam
    And
    Unconditional love.

Very nice painting in soft and gentle words. I've seen the moon rise above Lake Erie...a wonderful moment...

I have so many word inside me all jumbled up and ready to be written, now all I need is a quiet spot... thanks for your kindness. I have seen the moon over Lake Ontario as well, when in Oswego.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
