    T'was in the trough
    the manger smells of wet straw
    Gentle beginnings

    -o-

    the young sheep bleets low
    warm animal aromas
    scene of a new birth

    -o-

    Magi travelers
    their Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh
    gifts for the new babe

    -o-

    the new pain of birth
    the joy of the receiving
    Ever on it goes
