Morning Conversation; My Desire Yes My Choice

I listen in the dark stillness
As I long to hear Your voice
Can’t start my day without You, Lord
My desire, yes my choice
As I listen I am careful
Not to miss Your call, so sweet
Over and over I boldly pray
Lord guide my feet today
As new challenges I meet
I know you are near
As You whisper in my ear
'Today you will walk with me,
Today you will talk to me'
'I am Your Savior, your Lord, your all
“I won't allow you to fall”
I listen in the stillness
As I long to hear Your voice
Can't start my day without You, Lord
My desire, yes my choice

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
