    Morning Goodbye

I look at the perfect time we've spent
And remember what it has meant
I thought of last night and how you feel
Then today I don't know how I'll deal
I have to work through all the smiles
Knowing that you now have covered many miles
I wander around and can smell your scent
Then it brings back the time we spent
    Holding, loving and caring
The precious moments we were sharing
And as I last saw you in the morning light
I tried to keep you in my sight
With just a partial mirror reflection
I could feel all the affection
And as I turn and you go straight
The next time I see you I can not wait
So if you wish to darken my day
All you must do is go away
    Then I remember exactly why
For this time we say goodbye

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
