    Poem Commentary

Oh, to be so blessed with a wonderful Mother!

    Mother

    How could it be
    anything less than
    Thank you.

    How could it not include
    I love you
    For standing True.

    I'll never forget how
    so many times
    You saved me

    Some days I ponder
    Remembering your glory
    Coming to set me free.

Some days I feel the wave
    of Gratitude flood my heart
For no greater human has stood.

    You shake your head
    in humble denial
But proof of Love is final.

    You made me see
You save what was left of me
    I am, because of you.

    Thanks Mom!

This is so nice! Your mother must feel honored to have you feel this way about her.... and to express it so well in verse.

"I am, because of you" —simply heart-felt and deeply loving. This should be the Mothers Day anthem. Bravo!!! Peace and Light, dah

A wise and loving mother is a prime factor in the perspective of the child: the things my mother taught me follow me fom the memory of her words, to the application of common sense, today. ...'A wise mother will be praised by her children'. I miss my mother dearly and have the utmost respect for the sacrifices made for me and my siblings. Countless times did she save from cars, buses, long falls, poisons, fire and my own ignorance. Applause building! and thanks for sharing the glory of mother!

This and Hampton's My Mother Ruth are two poems that have unlocked memories of my own mother. They are both beautiful testaments to ladies so special to the two authors. Thank you, both, for steering me in yet another direction.

A fine tribute to a wonderful Mother, I'm sure. We all need to remember.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
